The product is 100% environmentally friendly. It is processed through the calcination of special clays at high temperature allowing its expansion and its porosity.

Working temperature: up to 1050ºC
Expanded shale: This light weight material has a high porosity and a low thermal conductivity. The surface of the lumps is hard like ceramic. This layer gives the product its properties of high strength and of low water absorption.
It is mainly used in castables, in agriculture, in water filtration and in the buildings for insulation.
